Hannah in the UK

Part two of my UK adventures begins Friday!

I’m flying out to London for an internship with Jasmine Birtles!

Wow, I haven’t posted since my April trip!

I was rather busy during my last few months of study abroad. I’m home now, and back into the swing of things.

In the next few days, I’ll try to post some pictures from the rest of my backpacking trip as well as what I was up to those last few weeks.

I miss it a lot, but life goes on. I think that the longer you stay somewhere, the less you appreciate it. So in the next several years, I look forward to visiting again.

Bruges was so incredibly lovely! We’ve been busy pretty consistently, so I haven’t had time to upload any pictures. But we’re staying with our friend, Britta, in Cologne for a couple of days so I’ll have some down time to post a bit more.

But, yes, I loved Bruges. I think it’s an ideal place to visit during a honeymoon or something, though. Very peaceful and romantic with lots of couples walking about. Fancy, expensive restaurants and lots of beautiful scenery and architecture.

From the restaurant in Brussels where we had lunch. Belgian waffle with Belgian chocolate!

We made it to Bruges after a brief stop in Brussels, which was lovely. We didn’t have much time to do anything, so we basically just walked around a bit, grabbed lunch, and just explored the city.

Bruges is GORGEOUS. It’s fairly small and obviously very old. Cobblestones everywhere! It’s also very romantic and not entirely touristy (although there are still a lot of tourist activities). We’re going on a walking tour tomorrow, so that should be fun and give us some more information. But you can definitely tell it’s a medieval city.

Amsterdam is really lovely and relaxing. Yesterday, we just got a feel for the city, relaxed by the canal, and took a few walks. Today, we rented out bicycles and rode around for about an hour or two. Bicycle travel is so popular here, I love it.

Anyway, we’ve been doing a lot of other things but I’m not really in the mood to write it all out (I’ve been keeping a travel diary, so a lot of my energy is going into that.) Instead, I’ll post some pictures!
